Do 1997-2003 and 2004-2008 F-150 kits interchange?
No they do not. The suspension system between the 2 models is completely different, the 97-3 F-150 drop kits uses coils springs and shocks, on the 04-08 F-150 drop kits they use struts with built in coils. If you are looking for a 2004 hertiage edition lowering kit, please note the heritage models will use all the same components as the 97-03 f-150s.
Why are engine and cab listed on some Ford kits?
Those details are listed mainly due to the weight differences between the engine and cab. Usually this only matters when coil springs are involved.
